H2S Awareness and Escape Recertification - Arabic

Course Overview

To confirm individuals have retained awareness of the H2S hazard and an understanding of how to protect themselves and their colleagues against exposure.

All Oil and Gas industry personnel who are trained on H2S courses and who may need to enter oil and gas process facilities (including well sites) classified as H2S risk areas, as part of their work.

Valid H2S Permit

Successful candidates will receive a certificate issued by OPAL

  • Hazards, characteristics & properties of Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S) and Sulphur Dioxide (SO2)
  • Symptoms of H2S and SO2 exposure
  • Sources of H2S and SO2
  • Access control requirements for oil and gas process facilities including selection of PPE for working area
  • Emergency response procedures
  • Wind direction awareness and routes of egress
  • Demonstrated checks, use & care of RPE for working in an H2S and SO2 atmosphere using all RPEs equipment
  • Correct use of H2S and SO2 detection methods at the workplace
  • Confirm delegate’s awareness of H2S and SO2 hazards and effects.
  • Confirm delegate’s awareness of safe systems of work specific to Sour facilities.
  • Confirm delegate’s knowledge of PPE required for Sour facilities
On-site – Competency assessment and recertification (no training).
