The Heart saver First Aid CPR AED Course is designed to prepare people to provide first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and automated external defibrillator (AED) use in a safe, timely, and effective manner.

- Describe the techniques that help prevent drowning emergencies
- List the priorities, roles, and responsibilities of first aid rescuers
- Describe the key steps in first aid
- Demonstrate how to remove protective gloves
- Describe the assessment and first aid actions for the following life-threatening conditions: heart attack, difficulty breathing, choking, severe bleeding, shock, and stroke
- Demonstrate use of Epinephrine pen
- Demonstrate how to control bleeding and apply bandage
- Recognize elements of common injuries

- Describe the risks of smoking and vaping and the benefits of a healthy lifestyle
