Course Overview

The course aims to provide attendees with knowledge and understanding of OQ Permit to Work system requirements to manage the job in a safe manner without any incidents.

OQ and Contractor personnel who will directly supervise a work party (e.g. first-line supervisor, leading hand, charge hand, etc.)

HSE Induction

Successful candidates will receive a certificate issued by National Training Institute LLC (NTI)

At the end of the training the candidate will be able to:

  • Provide a brief description of OQ PTW system, how it works and the importance of its effective usage
  • Explain the roles and responsibilities of people involved in the PTW system.
  • Explain different types of Permit
  • Identify work that needs a permit, who produces and signs it, when, where and for what activities
  • Describe a step-by-step flow through how the PTW system operates
  • Explain control of isolations and PTW system certificates
  • Explain the procedure for Application, Authorization, Validation, Acceptance, Suspension and Cancellation of Permits
  • Explain Job Safety Plans and its requirements
