Course Overview
This course aims to provide delegates with the basic knowledge and skills that will enable them to safely and efficiently operate a Counterbalance Lift Truck within the workplace.
Individuals who are required to operate a forklift truck.
- Valid ROP license for Forklift
- Valid Counterbalance Lift Truck Permit issued by RTITB
Successful candidates will receive a certificate issued by RTITB

At the end of the training the candidate will be able to:
- Safe and efficient operation of a counterbalance lift truck within the workplace, including their duties under the Health and Safety at Work, etc. Act 1974 and the risks associated with truck use.
- Carry out a pre-use inspection, suggest appropriate maintenance tasks and reporting processes.
- Explain authorisation to operate arrangements
