Course Overview
This course aims to provide high-access workers with the knowledge necessary to gain safe access to, egress from and undertake safe working practices on open structures such as telecommunication towers.
Suitable for anyone who has the responsibility for work at height.
No pre-requisites
Successful candidates will receive a certificate issued by National Training Institute LLC (NTI)

- Duties of persons at work at height
- Work equipment selection, care and maintenance
- Identification of hazards - falls, radio frequency hazards, overhead lines, dropped objects, weather, fatigue, etc.
- Risk avoidance
- Climbing techniques, ladders and structures and work positioning
- Emergency procedures
At the end of the training the candidate will be able to:
- Identify the legislation covering work at height within the Sultanate of Oman
- Explain the hazards and controls associated with working above ground level
- Explain the need for and the use of fall protection equipment when working at height
- Explain how to reduce the number of incidents caused whilst working at height
- Explain the safety procedures for working at height
