Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning

Course Overview

This specialized three-year program provides students with the practical skills and foundational knowledge needed to install, maintain, and troubleshoot HVAC systems. Combining hands-on learning with essential engineering theory, the program covers everything from basic installation techniques to advanced diagnostics and energy-efficient system optimization. Students will gain expertise in refrigeration technologies, environmental control systems, and fault repair, preparing them to meet the growing demand for skilled HVAC technicians across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Key Topics Include: • Installation & Maintenance of HVAC Systems • Engineering Principles & Practices • Refrigeration Technologies & Environmental Control • System Diagnostics & Fault Repair • Energy Efficiency in HVAC Systems By the end of the program, graduates will be proficient in installing, maintaining, and optimizing HVAC systems while demonstrating a strong understanding of engineering principles, energy efficiency, and industry standards. The program’s instructor-led onsite training ensures students gain valuable, real-world experience, making them highly skilled and indispensable assets in residential, commercial, and industrial HVAC environments.

Those with a General Education Certificate who wish to pursue vocational studies.

Candidates looking for admission to the programme must have attained at least a General Education Diploma (Grade 12) from the Sultanate of Oman or its equivalent qualification approved by the Omani MoHERI (Ministry of Higher Education Research and innovation) In all cases, it is required for the candidates to undergo a pre-assessment to establish their current academic level, especially in English, Engineering Mathematics, Science and ICT.

Candidates on successful completion of the three-year programme are entitled to a ‘Vocational Diploma” attested by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation.
