Basic Mechanical AutoCAD

Course Overview

The course includes an induction session to welcome and orientate the candidate, and familiarize them with the training centre, health and safety requirements and other important policies and procedures. The training consists of a mix of classroom and workshop sessions and various assessments. Upon successful completion, the candidate will gain the knowledge and understanding that will go towards enhancing their existing skills to design in mechanical AutoCAD.

This training course is designed for an apprentice or beginner who would like to work as a mechanical draughtsman.

The candidate should have basic knowledge of computer applications and mechanical engineering skills.

Upon completing the training course, candidates will be awarded a ‘Certificate of Attendance’ from NTI, attested by the Ministry of Manpower.

Symbol & BOM creation

  • Geometric constraint

By the end of the module the candidate will be able to:

  • Create 2 D drawings using draw tools
  • Manage layers
  • Control user co-ordinate system(UCS)
  • Control rotate and scale option
  • Apply offset options
  • Apply fillet and chamfer options
