This course is designed to improve all four language skills, speaking, listening, reading and writing, as required for the IELTS© examination.
This course is intended for anyone preparing for the general IELTS exam. This course is aimed at intermediate level students.

Upon successful completion of this course, the participants will be able to:
- Familiarize with IELTS© Test components and different question types particular to the IELTS© exam
- Develop test-taking strategies specifically for the IELTS© test
- Identify variety of different text types
- Skim and scan on target material in all types of reading passages
- Identify elements of a text, where required, reproduce these elements in their own writing
- Recognize the 11 task types found in the general training reading and how to address them
- Employ appropriate reading strategies and techniques
- Respond to two tasks in writing, following instructions and making use of the time available
- Write an essay in response to a point of view, argument or problem
- Demonstrate enhanced vocabulary and grammatical structure in writing & speaking
- Recognize what is required of candidates in all 3 parts of the speaking exam
- Construct, convey and defend opinions using appropriate vocabulary and grammatical structures
- Demonstrate understanding of academic and professional discourse e.g. lectures
- Identify the main ideas and distinguish relevant supporting details of formal or academic passage
