IT Technician

Course Overview

The IT Technician Course is designed to help students to start their IT career by ensuring that they have the skills to successfully troubleshoot desktop environments running on the Microsoft Windows XP operating system. The curriculum will provide learners the practical skills needed to support users and help them troubleshoot the Network environment, both Home and Professional. The course covers the skills of help desk technician, customer support representative, PC support specialist, technical support representative, and technical support specialists as defined by Skill Standards boards for Information Technology.

This course is intended for participants who wish to work as IT Technicians at various positions.

  • Proficient in English language (Equivalent to B1-B2 as per CEFR level)
  • Minimum age -18Y+

Successful candidates will receive a certificate issued by National Training Institute LLC (NTI), attested by the Ministry of Higher Education.

Upon successful completion of this course, the participants will be able to:

  • Assemble, troubleshoot and configure desktop computers and develop competence in areas such as installation, preventive maintenance and basic security.
  • Manage, Maintain, Troubleshoot, Install and configure basic networking hardware, protocols and services.
  • Implement basic Administration and Maintenance of Internet and Intranet networking and security.
  • Install Windows 7, Troubleshoot startup and user logons
